In recent weeks I’ve struggled with what seems to be writer’s block- finding it hard to finish this post that I started over a month ago. At the time, I planned to continue my journey with GetOneWord, and the word I had chosen was PEACE. It seemed fitting on that day because here in the South, we found ourselves in an unusual weather pattern of torrential rain and storms. At God’s Table- My Cup Runs Over!
I’m continuing to work through the Psalm 23 study by Jennifer Rothschild. This last week gave me some in-depth time in verse 5-
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; my cup runs over.
As I studied the table that God has prepared for me, I realized that this is a table that is not just reserved for my future inheritance in heaven but that it’s a very present, here and now invitation.
